Brownies - Home Economics (Working from home)

I decided to make brownies for the working at home task, this blogpost includes the ingredients, process, outcome photo and how they turned out.

Ingredients:
250g Butter
1/2 cup cocoa
1 1/2 cups White Sugar
4 eggs
1 cup Flour
1 tsp Baking powder
1 tsp vanilla essence

I added in 1 cup chocolate buttons to make them more chocolatey.

Method:

Preheat oven to 180° bake. Line a sponge roll tin with baking paper.
Melt butter in a saucepan then mix in cocoa powder, remove from heat and add sugar. Add eggs and mix well, then add vanilla essence. Sift in the dry ingredients and then pour into prepared tin and bake for 25-30 minutes.

Steps (Pictures)

Line the tin with baking paper.

Melt butter.

Add cocoa powder.

Remove from heat and sugar.

Add eggs and vanilla essence and mix well.

 Sift in dry ingredients.
Add chocolate buttons (optional)
Pour into prepared tin and place into the oven and cook for 25-30 minutes.

There were no problems with me making this, I make brownies a lot so it was simple.
Here is a detailed description.

Taste: They were rich in chocolate and a little sickening so I would serve with milk or vanilla icecream.
Texture: The texture was perfect, not too chewy and not to soft. The chocolate i added gave a nice texture to it to when you bite into it.

Here are photos of the results, I really enjoyed these brownies.

  1. Thank you for sharing your Blog Post, Chloe. Your Brownies look amazing. Glad to read they tasted really good. Yes as you mentioned, the butter, the sugar and the chocolate buttons would certainly increase the richness of the Brownies. Your photos and descriptions of the processes you followed are clear and easy to understand. Well done!
Can you think of any ways to modify this recipe eg to add an extra ingredient for texture?
