Our base for this is precipitation which is actually at the bottom but once it rains it connects with the ocean, flooding, storms and lots more. Then the suns energy causes the water from oceans, streams to rise into the air and that causes water vapour which is the mist that you will sometimes appear. That causes the droplets from them to form into clouds. Then condensation makes the water vapour call down and it turns back to liquid. But we all know that the water vapour that's in the clouds comes out as precipitation ( rain, snow ).
