Cupcakes

This week in home economics we made cupcakes I was only here for making the cupcake not decoration but heres how it went.

We started off by getting our ingredients. Here are the measurements and ingredients.

  • 125g butter
  • 3/4 c Sugar
  • 1 t Vanilla Essence
  • 2 Eggs ( size 7 )
  • 1 1/2 cup c Plain Flour
  • 2 t Baking Powder
  • 1/2 c Milk
We then followed the method. The hardest part was the creaming of the butter because it's difficult to start with but it gets easier as you go on and add the other ingredients.

My team worked okay but we forgot to take a photo of the cupcakes before we put them into the oven because we were too worried on who was doing what but we got photos of the end products.

Taste - They tasted good but quite sickening.
Texture - The texture was like a normal cupcake but the outsides were quite crisp which added a little crunch.
Colour - They were a golden colour as expected to be.
Even Sized - They were the same size not exact but not far from being all even sized.

Next Steps - Next time I'd say we know to take a photo of our product before we bake it.

Here's a photo of our cupcakes at the end.

  1. Thanks for sharing your Blog Post, Chloe. The addition of the Buttercream icing and decorative features would have enhanced the flavour of your Vanilla Cupcakes which on their own can taste plain.
