Over the past 2 weeks we have been doing street art. We got told to draw something that symbolises us and our culture. This is my completed drawing that represents me and my culture.

I chose a marae because of my maori culture and the Ngai Tahu is for my iwi/tribe. I hope you enjoyed!

We are a very sophisticated and outstanding class.

We try to be the best we can be in our learning.

We hear the sound of heavy breathing while we are doing work.

We see the kids fingers moving around their desktop while they focus on their work.

We say we will always follow our class treaty rules.

We are a very sophisticated and outstanding class.

We aim high in all of our learning.

We feel joy when our tasks are complete.

We need positiveness when we are working on a class project together.

We worry when Mr Mitchell has a very “serious” face when he glares at us.

We value our stationary and everything we own in class.

We are a very sophisticated and outstanding class.

We understand that we can’t all be perfect every time we do tasks.

We want to be the best class Mr Mitchell has ever taught.

We expect the best from one another in class.

We wonder if we will earn back the 7Mt Cup.

We hope that we can make Mr Mitchell happy and proud of his class.

Maths For Term 1 - Whio

For the past 3 weeks 7Mt and 7Ds have combined their classes for maths. I'm in whio in 7Ds, this is some of my work that I have completed over 3 weeks.

A Strange Job Interview - Writing: W6 T1

A strange job interview…

It all started with a random email I got when I was browsing through my unread emails. “Come along to score yourself an awesome job at the marine life park?” I, uh, kind of lost my recent job. It’s a very long, strange, annoying and out of this world crazy story! Anyways, I applied and I got a response straight away. I was very frightened. “Are they this desperate?” I thought to myself in shock.

The next day…

I wanted to prepare myself, I spent 2 hours looking through my small scale and filthy wardrobe. I never entered my closet because when I first moved into this compact sized apartment I seen a rat scurry out of there. I filled with regret and despair, I surprisingly found a very adult like dress. It was an auburn maroon-ish colour, I actually liked it and I had to deal with it since it was the only dress I owned.

The job interview…

Ughh today I felt terrible. I stayed up late worrying about what I was going to say what happened at my last job. My stomach swarmed with butterflies as I was driving. “You’ve got this.” I whispered to myself. As I paced into the entrance all I could smell was fish! It was disgusting I blocked my nose and walked through to the “conference” room. As I walked in…

The job interview that changed my perspective on life…

As I walked in there were octopus’s hanging from the ceiling. I was in shock. “Ahhh Miss Granger ( yes i quoted Harry Potter ) welcome! I- I didn’t say a word, i just awkwardly smiled… “take a seat.” I sat down next minute I knew I WAS SITTING ON JELLYFISH! I screamed as loud as I could until, he stopped me. “Sorry my jellyfish’s escaped.” I calmed myself. He placed the jellyfish in his hand and shoved it back into “fish” tank. “YOU GOT THE JOB!” I started laughing, “nice joke now should we get into the interview?” I said in confusion. “Well you already got the job?” he said quietly I still had no clue what he was on about. “Let’s just say the sharks approved you…” I turned around and there was a hammerhead shark laying down on the ground just beneath my feet… let’s just say I ended up starting the next day.
