P.E Blog - Juggling and Table Tennis

For the first week back at school during P.E we started learning how to juggle and how to play table tennis.

I started off not knowing anything about juggling but we practised with juggling scarves and then moved to hacky sacks, eventually I got the hand of using two objects in one hand. I didn't get to use tennis balls but I'm happy with where I got to and excited to learn more.

For table tennis I started off quite bad and didn't know any strategies. Then I played with Jaxon and he taught me an easy way to hit it and then I could easily get it over the net a couple times. I really enjoyed table tennis and i'm excited to learn more.

P.E Blog

During lock down I completed most of work set for me, some I didn't complete was because I couldn't get onto the work but I also did a lot of exercise. Not only going for a run and playing game with my brothers but going outside and just stretching my body or going for a bike ride instead of staying inside all day.

Positives:
  • Choosing when and where you can complete your work.
  • Not being rushed into finishing tasks straight away.
  • Learnt how to cook things.
Negatives:
  • Harder to access work.
  • Not being motivated all of the time.

Brownies - Home Economics (Working from home)

I decided to make brownies for the working at home task, this blogpost includes the ingredients, process, outcome photo and how they turned out.

Ingredients:
250g Butter
1/2 cup cocoa
1 1/2 cups White Sugar
4 eggs
1 cup Flour
1 tsp Baking powder
1 tsp vanilla essence

I added in 1 cup chocolate buttons to make them more chocolatey.

Method:

Preheat oven to 180° bake. Line a sponge roll tin with baking paper.
Melt butter in a saucepan then mix in cocoa powder, remove from heat and add sugar. Add eggs and mix well, then add vanilla essence. Sift in the dry ingredients and then pour into prepared tin and bake for 25-30 minutes.

Steps (Pictures)

Line the tin with baking paper.

Melt butter.

Add cocoa powder.

Remove from heat and sugar.

Add eggs and vanilla essence and mix well.

 Sift in dry ingredients.
Add chocolate buttons (optional)
Pour into prepared tin and place into the oven and cook for 25-30 minutes.

There were no problems with me making this, I make brownies a lot so it was simple.
Here is a detailed description.

Taste: They were rich in chocolate and a little sickening so I would serve with milk or vanilla icecream.
Texture: The texture was perfect, not too chewy and not to soft. The chocolate i added gave a nice texture to it to when you bite into it.

Here are photos of the results, I really enjoyed these brownies.

Time Line - Black Death/Other Events

Here is my completed timeline for Social Studies. The events that are not highlighted means I did not know so feedback is very much appreciated to improve my work.

The most important event to me is the fleet of cones because they brought my ancestors into New Zealand.
